Todd Foundation

The Todd Foundation is the main philanthropic vehicle of the Todd Family and the Todd Corporation. The Todd Foundation provides funding to New Zealand organisations that contribute towards the Foundation’s vision of “inclusive communities where all families, children and young people can thrive and contribute”; with decisions made by a Board that includes both Todd family members and external trustees.

Most of the funding provided by the Todd Foundation supports organisations working with children, young people, families and communities. Tertiary scholarships and awards are also available in selected fields of study.

Some key achievements include:

  • Total funding provided to our communities since inception is $66 million (in 2015 dollar terms).
  • Funding has grown considerably over the last decade, with $5.5 million provided to community organisations in 2015.
  • The Foundation works collaboratively with other funders, and is one of the founding partners of the Working Together More Fund.

The Foundation is committed to listening and learning from our communities, and to innovative funding practices to enable positive social change.
